EPRA-Certified EV Charging Station Technician

Main purpose

To install, test, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electric vehicle charging stations in compliance with EPRA requirements, electrical safety standards, and project specifications.epra+1

Key responsibilities

  • Install EV charging stations, cabling, protection devices, and associated electrical hardware.

  • Carry out site assessments and verify electrical readiness before installation.

  • Test, inspect, and commission chargers after installation.

  • Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance and repairs.

  • Prepare and submit installation, testing, and maintenance reports.

  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety rules, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients during deployment.

  • Verify that all work is completed by qualified, licensed, and trained personnel where required.oraro+1

Required qualifications

  • EPRA certification or other recognized electrical licensing relevant to installation work.

  • Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Practical experience in electrical installations, preferably including EV charging systems.

  • Knowledge of wiring, earthing, protection systems, testing instruments, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong understanding of occupational safety and electrical compliance requirements.myjobmag+2

Preferred skills

  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.

  • Experience with load checks, panel assessments, and commissioning procedures.

  • Good documentation and reporting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Customer service and communication skills.
